Don’t kill my vibe
I painted this live in front of a crowd in a bikini top, wondering what stories and perceptions were being made. Talented or an imposter? Confident or attention seeking? Beautiful or slutty?
Unfortunately, I can’t and don’t want to control how I’m perceived. How exhausting. How many women are afraid to take up space because of this? To express themselves and their art because of the fear of other people’s projections?
Whether you see confidence or insecurity, strength or sensuality, health or vanity, an artist or an imposter… that’s yours.
Because depending on who’s looking, there is a different story. A different perspective. If someone has bad thoughts about me…. That bad thought is living in their head, not mine.
Don’t kill my vibe just because you killed your own!!!
This painting is a reflection of the multidimensional women who can’t be labeled. Can’t be put into a box. Who are soft and strong. Sacred and sensual. The most magnetic women I know are always throwing me a curve ball. Thank you for making the world more colorful. More beautiful. More vibrant. Thank you thank you thank you!!!
